GIVE MORE campaign previews in London

‘Give More’ – a campaign to encourage people across the UK to give more money, time or energy in 2012 to the causes they care about – had its preview launch in London on 14 February 2012.

Ahead of the national launch in April, Give More aims to inspire businesses, charities and individuals who share the vision of Give More, to join early adopters including BT, NSPCC and Marie Curie Cancer Care as well as high profile public figures including broadcaster and Chair of NCVO Martyn Lewis; Esther Rantzen, founder of ChildLine and Patricia Hewitt, Non-Executive Director of BT who all pledged today to Give More in 2012.

BT kindly donated the use of the BT Tower’s iconic infoband to the campaign, showcasing the Give More logo and website URL, and spreading the Give More message across London for the entire day.

Founder of London based Esther Community Enterprise, June Ross-Wilder, who lives and breathes the ethos of Give More, spoke at the preview launch with such passion and energy about her commitment to ending food inequality that she inspired the audience of over 120 people to pledge to Give More on the spot!

Speakers at the event (l-r): Esther Rantzen CBE, journalist, broadcaster and Trustee of NSPCC; Trevor Pears CMG, June Ross-Wildman, founder, Esther Community Enterprise; Martyn Lewis, former BBC and ITN anchorman and Chair of NCVO; Patricia Hewitt, non-executive director, BT

Hot on the events’ heels, a further launch in Edinburgh took place on Thursday 16th February, with a UK-wide tour rolling out through the spring.  You can now make the pledge and be one of the first to join the campaign by making a public commitment now to give more money, time or energy in the next 12 months.
